My ancestors came from Armenia and Iran to settle in India and by the time I was born in Pakistan to a Catholic mother and a Zoroastrian father, culture, religion, politics and history had already determined so much of what my life was going to be. At 18, when I moved to the United States, my life journey was destined to take me places I had never imagined. And today as I continue on my paths of living and learning, I have many roles - mother, wife, daughter, sister, survivor, friend, therapist ... and as I move in and out of these roles, I realize that life itself is constant movement that requires balance and focus. And if you find yourself in need of balancing life's challenges and are looking for "meeningful" connections, I hope that you will give me an opportunity to work together with you.
I have my Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from Florida International University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Supervisor for those seeking licensure.
My practice is the culmination of years of working with individuals seeking a better way to function in their daily lives. My work focuses on understanding oneself and how we have learned to communicate with our inner self and the world around us. And then using this knowledge to illuminate our world so that we can experience our life in a new and more meaningful way.
